Sharing
Approve a request
What an approver sees, and what each answer does.
Why approvals exist
Sharing an app more widely can show data to more people. An approval makes sure that a second person agrees before that happens. Making access narrower never needs an approval.
Who approves
- Each team has one or more approvers. They approve the requests for the apps whose owner is in that team.
- If the owner has no team, an administrator approves.
- A request to share with Everyone also needs an administrator.
While a request waits
The approvers can open the app and look at it before they decide. When the request ends, that access ends too.
Answer a request
Open Requests in the console. Read what the request asks for, open the app if you need to, and select Approve or Reject.
